I've updated the site once again. The major new thing is that i've added, after reading Andrew's blog entry, is another game: asteroids.

Other stuff i also have done, is that for people with resolutions other than 1024x768, I have changed all the flash intros and most of the games to be set in percentages of the screen rather than in pixels. For visitors with resolution of 1024x768 there shouldn't be that much of a visible difference, but for viewers with higher (and probably lower too (i haven't tested that yet)) the intros and the games will be … Read more →

Just updated a few things that are on my site. A new layout on the homepage is one thing, which just briefly explains what the site is a quick overview of things that it contains. I've also added a favicon to all the pages of the site. This icon will be shown in the address bar of Firefox and other browsers (not IE though), and if you add the site to your favorites or bookmarks, the icon will appear next to the title of the bookmark or favourite (in nearly all browsers, including IE).

Just got home after completing my last exam for the year. This morning was the COMP2502 (Algorithms and Data Structures) exam which I have been (not so silently) dreading over the past month or two.

It was a bit easier than i had expected. Out of the 32 multi-choice questions I was mostly positive that i answered at least 18 correctly, and the rest i made an educated stab at.

Just had my second exam this morning. Saturday exams suck, because they take a perfectly good weekend day and turn it into a weekday one by making you do work on it. Ah well, at least it is better than the Saturday 5:45 exams.

I think i did ok in the exam today. It was much harder than I was anticipating, but I'm pretty sure that i at least passed. But i don't think that i will be getting my top-of-the-class result that i got in the mid-semester.

Did my HIST2606 exam today, got my INFS3200 (Advanced Database Systems) exam tomorrow.

Today's exam has to be my most blas? attempt at an exam in my whole academic life. I had most-likely passed the course already (see yesterday's post), but as i approach the completion of my degrees I seem to be less and less motivated to do exams.

Tomorrow is my first exam: HIST2606 (History of Warfare). I haven't really given much thought to this exam as i'm pretty sure that I have already, or only within a few percent of having passed this course. I got 32/40% for the major essay, 7/10% for the essay plan, and i'm pretty sure I would have gotten at least 10/20% for the tutorials including a presentation, (we haven't got the marks returned). The exam is only worth 30% of the course grade.

Today the Mozilla Firefox web browser moved out of beta (pre-release) versions into a fully fledged publicly released version 1.0. It'll be a while before all the extensions and themes for the browser catch up with the 1.0 release, but i still highly reccommend people to use Firefox as their browser. There are many reasons to switch over, most of which i have mentioned in a previous blog entry. Try it out (it's only a small download) if you like it, use it, if not stay with Internet Explorer. Today in my plan was to be a whole day studying for my HIST2606 exam before i had to go to work at 5. After i woke up, had some breakfast and did some stuff, i got a message from Nick asking if I wanted to play Indoor Soccer for their team on a permanent basis starting from today. Went to the movies twice in the past 24 hours, both at the now extremely busy SouthBank Cinemas. Last night went and saw The Notebook, which I really enjoyed. I though it was a good movie, but I wouldn't recommend seeing it if you don't want to follow a storyline or if you're really tired because it would probably send you to sleep.

Today went and saw Hero with the guys from school. It was good seeing nearly everybody together, it's been a while.

Today the results from the overnight U.S. presidential election started coming. Aside from it being a major distraction away from study, it was also interesting. I would label myself leaning toward the political right (not by a whole lot though) but in American politics I can't stand the Republican party, but even more so, I can't stand George Dubya Bush.
