Blog

The thoughts, opinions, happenings, and just plain ramblings of a seemingly boring person.

Quality Entry

I have had a look over my recent blog entries and have realised that comparing them to, say a year ago, that they have considerably declined in quality. For this, I apologise to my loyal readers, and will rectify this situation with this entry, which shall be a long and significantly better quality one. (Editors note: last paragraph done a little tongue-in-cheek)

Saturday night we went to Church, and as per the declaration last week, afterwards everyone went back to my place to have watch a movie. Got back to our place and ordered pizzas, and everybody eventually agreed to … Read more →

Putting the not-so-best foot forward

For the past few days I have been walking around like a 'normal' person! I have been wearing normal shoes, and my foot feels pretty good. Me and Despina even went for a protracted walk on Wednesday night in which I even did a little bit of a run, and although the foot hurt a little, it was mostly all good. I have even started driving the manual car again. My foot as whole is a little bit stiff and sore, but that is to be expected because of me basically not using it properly for the past three months.… Read more →

Goodbye spaceboot (For now…)

As mentioned previously, last week I went and got X-rays to see how my broken foot was going. Unfortunately it wasn't going to well: the fracture still has not healed.

I went back to my GP on Friday, who was now out of her league, consequently referred me to an orthopedic surgeon to see what to do about it. I went there today, and the Doctor told me that after this long, there was little chance that the fracture would heal. He also told me that because I currently have no pain in the foot, to try and get out … Read more →

Very Windy & JPs

Last night and today it has been extremely windy, and it kept me up for a little while last night, which sucked because it is the first time that I have had the opportunity to sleep without a set waking-up time. waaah

I have been still going through all the motions with getting everything done for buying the unit. I think I have basically signed my life away pretty much so far. With everything that I have signed so far, there has only been one document that we have needed a qualified person to witness us signing ( A qualified … Read more →

Time doesn’t heal all wounds

Now about ten weeks after breaking my foot, I went back to get X-Rays this morning to see if the break had healed. Unfortunately it hasn't: there is still the little piece of the base of my 5th metatarsal in my left foot floating around in there.

I will be going to the doctor on Friday to see what my options are, but in the meantime I still have to be wearing the spaceboot. What makes it even more frustrating is that the foot feels fine, I have no pain in it at all any more. I'm hoping I can … Read more →

Krazy Kazaa Ruling

Still extremely busy in my world. I am still currently wading through all the red-tape I have to get through to settle the unit me and Despina are buying, but that is all fun-and-games that doesn't really need to be mentioned here.

In the news recently, is the Australian Federal Court ruling that the record companies won their case against the makers of the file-sharing program, Kazaa (the case was in Australia because the makers of Kazaa are based here). This totally baffles me for a few reasons: A file sharing program like Kazaa has a wholly legitimate purpose to … Read more →

The Search is Over!

I haven't blogged in a week, but this time I think that I have good reason to. It has been a very busy and very strange week, but most predominantly of all, Despina and I have finally bought a place to live once we get married.

We eventually bought a unit in Morningside, after earlier making an offer for a place in Norman Park which we subsequently retracted. Of course all this house-hunting and offer making chewed up a lot of time, as nearly all of it was done outside of business hours. I am quite glad to have the … Read more →

Burninated Trivia and A-League FOOTBALL

I've had a semi-eventful weekend the past few days. As has been the pattern recently, on Saturday we spent almost the whole day looking for a place to live. I've got to say that it is really starting to wear thin.

After Church on Saturday night we went to a Trivia night that the CYB (Cypriot Youth of Brisbane) were hosting at Cyprus House (or the West End Club as it is now known). I really enjoyed it, except for our table (which Andrew and I autonomously named 'The Burninators') coming second by 3 points after leading the contest for … Read more →

I Cracked a Funny

Same old same old for the past few days.

I Have continued looking for properties, but i'm getting a little tired of it. So time consuming with pushy real-estate agents. Must push on!

Apparently Rolando has restored his computer from the Dell recovery CDs all by himself, so kudos to him. Let's see how long he can stay virus and spyware free this time.

I have encountered a few more amusing things recently:

Firstly:

How Blondes Print Word Documents

hehe. Secondly, Have you got Blog Depression?.

And thirdly, here's a dedication to all my readers. Just kidding of course. 🙂… Read more →

Hunting of the houses & Viruses strike again

Yesterday we continued looking for houses, inspecting a lot and finding a few promising ones.

Me and Despina also went to a wedding yesterday and last night. I didn't really know the people getting married, so it was kind of strange. Rolando came along to the service to see the gist of the whole ceremony ahead my own wedding in just a few days under six months away. We went to the reception last night, but didn't stay through all of it as Despina hasn't been feeling too good over the last few days.

Thursday and Friday at work wasn't … Read more →
