I've just had a very busy weekend. I've barely had time to sit down and do nothing. On Saturday I was up early to go shopping for invitations for the wedding, and then to show a few relatives through our recently acquired unit. After that we went and had lunch, and then went to Despina's to do a few tax returns.

Today was the settlement date for the unit we were purchasing. After a few hiccups and surprises in the morning, everything went all cool, and we are now owners of our very own unit (and the accompanying massive debt to the bank). Now that this mini-saga is over, now starts the saga of preparing the place for when we move into it after we get married, including fixing it up etc.

Today is the feast-day of the Saint that I am named after. The particular Saint in question, is Saint Luke the Evangelist. I was going to upload an image of an icon of him, but the disk is full on the server my website is on, so I can't do it at the moment (you will probably be lucky if you see this post). Hope later in the week i'll be able to upload the image.

Just finished watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire and saw a 36 year old graphic artist win the million bucks, the first in Australia. Apparently a clairvoyant told him he was going to win a lot of money five years ago, maybe that's why he was so reckless answering the last two questions he didn't have much of an idea on. Very lucky.

Man am I loving this rain, and now the much cooler weather that has come along with it. This rain is what we desperately need here in Brisbane. For those who don't know, we have been going through a serious drought with dam water at critical levels, we are currently under stage 2 water restrictions.

Then again if we have solid rain for a while there could be flooding! hehe, be careful what you wish for i suppose.

It seems as though Apple has released another iPod. I think this now makes 2 in the last three weeks. The new iPod replaces the previous Photo colour version of the iPod and now has video playback support. I don't see why they couldn't have enabled video playback in the now-older model with a firmware update as it did have a colour screen and all. I guess it's their way of making money...

I finished off the working week without any major dramas on Friday. I can't really remember what we did on Friday night so it mustn't have been too eventful.

On Saturday we lazed around after sorting through some more unit-purchasing garbage. I can't wait until we can just forget about all that stuff.
