Day 24 of NaBloPoMo

Really nothing that much that i can blog today. The working week has come and gone again, and we face another weekend that, as always, will come and go all too quickly. It sucks because I'm starting to get disheartened about the weekend ending at the beginning of the weekend!

Not really in the mood for blogging, so I guess I'll leave it at that.

Day 23 of NaBloPoMo

The big news in town of late is the first Ashes Test beginning in Brisbane today. I normally can't stand watching cricket, but i'll admit to at least following the scores for the Ashes series.

It sucks though, because my commute to work and back passes right next to the Gabba (stadium where the cricket is being played at the moment). This afternoon I had to dodge the area which extended my run home.

Day 22 of NaBloPoMo

After putting them up at the start of this month, Today I decided to remove the crappy Google ads from this blog.

The amount of revenue raised in the twenty-something days i've had them has been pretty paltry: all of 3 clicks totalling USD$0.48. Wow, I could almost buy a Chupa-Chup.

But the main reason why i'm taking them down is that they've started to annoy me: the make the blog look crap (well, more crap than it usually looks), and I don't really want people advertising total garbage like this on my site.

Day 21 of NaBloPoMo

This afternoon I had to leave work a bit early to attend the AGM for the body corporate for our building. As expected, there was a very low turnout: only me and one other person showed, which was enough for a quorum. Got through that and then went over my parents house for dinner.

Day 20 of NaBloPoMo

Continuing on from the last entry: I went to the game of indoor last night, and after a prolonged warm-up not feeling any back problems, and seeing that we had only four other players (five are needed for a full team), I decided to play.

I just finished watching the end of the Red Bull Air Race World Series event that was being held in Australia (Perth, to be exact) today. I'm a big fan of the Air Race, I always try to catch it whenever they show an event on TV. It was good to see the extremely likeable Hungarian pilot, Peter Besenyei, take out the Perth event.

Day 18 of NaBloPoMo

WARNING: Washing and cleaning can be dangerous!

Well, at least it was for me today. The washing machine stuffed up on our first load (the towels): it didn't spin them because the load became unbalanced and left some very soaked and very heavy towels.

In trying to wring the water out of the towels, I managed to tweak something in my back, which after a few minutes, promptly started to cramp. Very painful, and Dr Mum came over with some Deep Heat.

I mean really tgif. This week was one of the toughest weeks at work that i've had for a long time. Next week should be a lot better once my partner-in-crime returns from leave.

Today I went into the city and bought Family Guy Season 5 on DVD, i should be watching the hilarity that it is over the next few days.

Freaky: right now whilst typing out this entry, i have my entire iTunes library on shuffle, and The Weekend by Michael Gray just came on. How appropriate. That's live blogging for you!

Day 16 of NaBloPoMo

We are now just over half way through NaBloPoMo, and I really don't feel like doing an entry tonight, so this will be a short and sucky one.

Work today bad, same as yesterday. However, It seems my complaints yesterday about the hot weather was heard by whoever controls the weather: we're experiencing an unprecedented cold snap all the way down the east-coast. It's snowing down south, and today in Brisbane was very windy and a bit chilly.

Day 15 of NaBloPoMo

Today whilst going to lunch to get my required Nando's hit for the week, a massive and quite quick storm hit Brisbane at around 1pm. This is the biggest weather we've had in a long time: the amount of rain, the force of the wind, not to mention the hail, made it quite a lunch break.
