Well it looks like everything has finally settled down after the server move (hopefully). If anyone posted anything that didn't show up, just let me know.

Well today is Australia Day, and today i would like to renew my opinion that Australia should become a Republic, and have our own head of state. I mean, really, other than then, lets say those passionately British, and the older people in our community that still have an affection and alleigence to Britain and the Queen, what have we got to lose? I recognise that it would change absolutely jack in the way … Read more →

Hey, not sure if this will actually work or not... Today my hosting company migrated all the accounts over to new servers, so everything with the site has been a bit mucked up. PHP not working, the admin panel saying that my disk usage jumping almost 200MB, the shoutbox and this blog alternately showing/not-showing new posts, etc, etc.

If there is anything screwy happening with the site (such shoutbox posts dissapearing or not showing), I would appreciate if someone could let me know.

Anyway, today played indoor soccer and lost again (2-3). After i got home a massive storm came … Read more →

Well, i've come into another phase of addiction, but this time its worse because i've actually spent money on it! My new addiction, or rather renewed addiction, is emulated games. I've now gotten myself hooked on the old Sonic the Hedgehog games (see pictures below). I'm using a Sega emulator called Gens.

So after i started playing Sonic (1,2, and 3), i came to the conclusion that playing the games on the keyboard was not good enough. So I went out and bought myself a joypad (just like a console controller, but for the computer). I bought the MS … Read more →

Played futsal last night, against the fiery Greeks (other greeks), and ended up missing most of the second half after being haxed. Lucky i didn't end up dislocating my knee, but it sure did (and does) hurt. Even worse i don't bruise easily, so i've got nothing to show for it, and everone at home thinks i'm making a big deal out of nothing!

Anyway, we won the quite thrilling game 3-2, which capped of another memorable game between our two teams. This means we have a guranteed 2nd place on the table with the finals starting soon. Go E.R.T! … Read more →

Just put up a new game: Simon. A memory/follow the sequence type of thing. Check it out in games section. Sometimes it is so infuriatingly frustrating i feel like grabbing the colour circle thing right out of the monitor and throwing it out the window frisbee-style. Come to think of it, i feel like doing that to my computer every other day...

The hosting company that i just signed up for has just closed its doors to any new customers till Feb 1st. It seems that they are overwhelmed! Looks like i just got in!

The 1st of Feb … Read more →

I just wanted to make an entry for the sake of making an entry. I really just wanted to make an entry on something i did on that actual day.

Hmmm lets see.

Today I: woke up, did a bunch of stuff, and then went back to sleep.

(From Weird Al: Your Horoscope For Today, off his Running With Scissors album. Weird Al rocks)… Read more →

I woke up yesterday, early for a Sunday, to go and play this weeks round at indoor soccer. Only one other person from my team actually showed, so we had to borrow some players for us to at least play. We played with members from a team called the Scrub Turkeys: guys with a green Flinstone-esque top, with little bush turkeys all over. They played well, and were great sports too. We lost anyway, so that meant that i didn't have to pay (the whole) match fee becuase it counted as a forfeit because only two of us showed.… Read more →

Today was a very nice way to wake up: a call from work asking if i could do the shift starting in 15 minutes. Nothing to complain about though, because i have been looking for more work, so the twist of fate was ironic.

At work a guy was wearing the most humorous shirt for a computer geek like me (yes i do recognise the obvious): it had on it:

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those that understand binary and those that don't. (If you want an explanation on why this is humorous, post a comment)… Read more →

Well today is a good day. The landscaping is mostly complete. That means for me less exhaustive working in the yard, and now i actually can have some time to really do what holidays are meant for: nothing. Yes, just that pure indulgence of sitting on your lazy behind and just let the hours roll by.

Yesterday was a good start. Went and saw 2 movies: Welcome to the Jungle and Something's Gotta Give. The former i didn't think much of. I guess i was expecting more out of this action movie, but i guess that these days that … Read more →

The other day Rhys reminded me, in a bout of reminiscing, of a certain part of my history, that of 'breaking it down'. I know that to most people this blog entry will be greeted by a collective 'what the...?', but those who were with me at school will remember and understand this topic quite well.

Anywho, Breaking It Down: This was a short little celebration performed by me usually following a skillful or significant event during a game of handball (or wallball). After the event i would proceed to celebrate my doing this dance, usually accompanied by a vocalised … Read more →
