  • Exited to be at the documentation miniconf today at https://t.co/HJhfzBB7wa! #lca2020 Jan 13, 2020
  • YES. We don't always need never-ending shows. This was a great 1-season self-contained series. Anything more would only cheapen it. https://t.co/nQoV9Tnmef Jan 17, 2020
  • I love receiving Outlook 'recall' messages for email in my Gmail account. It makes me look at the original message with even more interest. Maybe that's the intended effect? https://t.co/olbdrTdl5b Feb 05, 2020
  • New blog post: 'Why I Have Always Hosted My Own Blog' https://t.co/3u64Sw5FJ7 So meta.๐Ÿ˜Ž Feb 08, 2020
  • I'm reading a kids Star Wars book to my 5yo, and on a page that had Admiral Ackbar, she said: "He's a fish and he's an astronaut." And she's not really wrong ๐Ÿฅฐ https://t.co/N5t9aOMigs Feb 14, 2020
  • Even professional writers like myself have lapses in memory and judgement. Today I had to double check that the past tense of "read" is in fact "read". I feel so sorry for people that have to learn English as a second language! Feb 18, 2020
  • I knew it was correct, but it on paper (i.e the screen), it just didn't look right today. ๐Ÿ˜… Feb 18, 2020
  • aaaaand 6 hours later, I notice a typo in the previous post, too๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Further proves my point (and the importance of good peer reviews!). Feb 18, 2020
  • +1 It was pretty fun! https://t.co/8Ylv2eR9iv Feb 21, 2020
  • I was one of those 1,444 people in 2019. I received one of the 308 livers, and every day I say a prayer for my donor and their family.โค๏ธ https://t.co/k8qp5mq2Fz Feb 26, 2020
  • This = me ๐Ÿ˜‚ https://t.co/vDBnGP1S4z Feb 29, 2020
  • It's worse when you have a beard! ๐Ÿ˜… https://t.co/dXaVCyGtOb Mar 10, 2020
  • My daughter's school actually sings the both verses of the national anthem at assembly. I can probably count on two hands the number of times I've heard the second verse, and I definitely don't know the words! I wonder how many Aussies do? Mar 10, 2020
  • YES! https://t.co/A7TEVBKWh7 Mar 11, 2020
  • Volunteers singing "Over the Rainbow" Israel Kamakawiwoสปole-style to people entering the hospital this morning is making me happy. There are so many people here every day donating their time to help guide people and make people happy. โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐ https://t.co/GcNHzjscCX Mar 15, 2020
  • Also please please please follow isolation, hygiene, and distancing advice. ๐Ÿ™ There's plenty of 'young' people who are also 'high risk' for COVID-19, in my case because of all the immune suppressants I have to take after my liver transplant. Mar 15, 2020
  • Eeeep, a clarification if I alarmed anyone on my situation: I'm not actually admitted in hospital! Today was transplant clinic day. ใ€€ All transplant patients have regular appointments with the transplant Drs at the hospital for a while after having transplant. Mar 16, 2020
  • At the hospital today, I bought these awesome Star Wars-themed Aboriginal art! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜€ It is Closing the Gap Day in AUS, and the hospital had some events and stalls on. Great timing for transplant clinic day! Here's the artist's FB: https://t.co/NF1ZZMf8Yu https://t.co/h0AbdRAPiS Mar 16, 2020
  • This product disturbs me deeply... why are we training boys to urinate into animals' mouths?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚https://t.co/ocGiulmAeH https://t.co/VjDJqzZ9QE Mar 21, 2020
  • This is probably the most I've laughed at a steamed hams meme: https://t.co/cVuIUnA1BM Mar 23, 2020
  • We are now rightly taking virus transmission seriously. But, where is the much-needed action on the uncontrolled spread of glitter, especially in houses with young girls? If we had similar motivation, we could do away with it too! Let's come together on this as well! Mar 24, 2020
  • I've even heard some radical people suggesting weaponising glitter as a form of biological warfare. There is no defence against such a threat! We shouldn't wait until people start violating the Geneva Protocol! Let's eliminate this scourge now! #GlitterIsAnUncontrolledVirusToo Mar 24, 2020
  • I am disappointed I'm not in on this Microsoft employee reply-all email thread! It sounds like it's epic fun at the moment! (no, really; I'm not being sarcastic!) Mar 27, 2020
  • People have (rightly) given Microsoft flack over Windows Updates unfriendliness, but IMO, macOS patch updates are even worse! Locking me out of my computer for 30+ minutes to install a patch is terrible (e.g. 10.15.3 -> 10.15.4) Mar 30, 2020
  • My superpower is being a writer for a living, but I almost always create a tweet containing a spelling mistake or grammar error. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Also: Twitter, for the sake of my ego, LET US EDIT OUR TWEETS. ๐Ÿ˜ญ Mar 30, 2020

  • Had my first video-call physio appointment this afternoon. What a time to be alive ๐ŸŽฆ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ Apr 08, 2020
  • New blog post: 'Ori & Remote Play Sequels' TL;DR: The new Ori game is great, and Steam Remote Play is still very convenient ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ–ฅhttps://t.co/mLtqYT6LUn Apr 13, 2020
  • Xristos Anesti! Christ is risen! Happy Easter for everyone celebrating today! โ˜ฆ๐Ÿ’“ Apr 19, 2020
  • As a recent transplant patient, I'm high risk for COVID-19. But there's no way I'm trusting *any* government, let alone this one, with a tracking app like #Covidsafe. At the very least until the source code is released and audited publicly by respected industry experts. Apr 26, 2020
  • Finished 'Jedi: Fallen Order' (on PS4) this week. I liked the story: especially Trilla as the main villain, and the droid BD-1. But otherwise, I don't get the hype. Apr 28, 2020
  • It was very visually extremely glitchy; I can't remember the last game that had so many textures popping in and out so frequently, especially in story scenes, where you'd think they'd have that stuff locked in. Maybe it's better on the PS4 Pro, but I can only judge what I have. Apr 28, 2020
  • The the difficulty jump from easy-as 'Story mode' up to the next bump of 'Jedi Knight' (the default) was insane at times. It felt like there should have been 2 extra levels between them. Enemy targeting didn't feel great to me. Apr 28, 2020
  • Plus lame things, like: such tiny text in the UI, having to sit through the same unskippable story scenes after respawning between play sessions, and semi-frequent game pauses despite Uncharted-like transition areas for loading (it's been a while!), were all quite annoying. Apr 28, 2020
  • Overall, I'm glad I played it, but I didn't feel like it was a great game. Apr 28, 2020
  • I love this way more than I should! ๐Ÿ’– https://t.co/AqfzJaE6gN Apr 29, 2020

  • I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again: @regex101 saves me so much time creating regexs! Such an invaluable tool for someone like me who never remembers the syntax beyond ^ and [a-z] and * ๐Ÿ˜„ May 25, 2020
  • I've gotten so quick and accurate at clicking the snooze/dismiss buttons on my stretch+break reminder pop-ups, that I'm not even aware of what I'm doing I've now disabled those buttons, so if I really want to push on, I have to go through two drop-downs to do it. ๐Ÿ˜… May 26, 2020
  • Probably just me being an ageing middle-aged man not keeping up with the kids, but I get triggered by mirrored selfies (and selfie video). It's the new Vertical Video Syndrome. https://t.co/77ojx9Gbi7 Jun 08, 2020
  • A tad interested in this!๐Ÿคฉ https://t.co/9yiOrxBSNu Jun 16, 2020
  • Does anyone have any experience using LanguageTool? (https://t.co/YOTbQFyPGN). I'm looking for alternatives to Grammarly that are generally more secure and privacy-conscious (whilst of course still being decent at what it does!) Jun 16, 2020
  • It's my transplant first anniversary today! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› Thank you everyone for all your love and support. Blog post: https://t.co/hmMf6VgizV Jun 17, 2020

  • I was going to write a blog post about #TLoU2, but this Honest trailers video pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about it: (SPOILERS) https://t.co/fjeannOmrN Jul 08, 2020
  • Especially this: "Many say it's the greatest masterpiece ever, while others say it's a burning pile of garbage, while the truth is in between, it's a beautiful achievement of technology that will make you feel like a burning pile of garbage". Jul 08, 2020

  • After trying Android gesture navigation for 2 days, I can't say I'm a fan. Although it takes up less screen real-estate, it's inferior to the ol' three button navigation for speed, reliability, and finger effort. Fingers crossed Google still keeps it as an option long-term ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ“ฑ Oct 17, 2020
