Day 25 of NaBloPoMo 2007
With all the fantastic video games coming out throughout this month, us married gamers face a tough choice on an almost daily/nightly basis: "Should I stop playing this game?"
Yes, it is a tough one but thankfully someone had the brains to make the choice a little easier for us. With great recommendation i present the following PDF: Should I stop playing this game? A decision matrix for married folks.
Hilarious and practical at the same time!
On the gaming front, today i finished Portal the fun puzzle solver included in The Orange Box. It was damn frustrating just to get the game started though: a weird and extremely infuriating bug caused the hl2.exe program to stop when trying to launch the game. Strangely enough, it seemed to work as long as the focus wasn't on it when the game was starting.
I spent most of this afternoon working, doing the monthly server maintenance, and tonight I went and played our indoor game.
I had a mixed game, but i had two absolutely crackingly powerful shots on goal: one that almost took the keeper's head off on it's way into the net, and the other which the keeper just got a hand to which tipped it onto the crossbar.
We ended up winning the game 6-3. One surprising piece of news is that the indoor centre we play at is moving from the Valley to West End at the end of the year. I think they've sold their Valley property to some developers for what would be a fairly hefty sum i would think.
