As many around the world have seen the news, yesterday Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray's barb that pierced his heart. A very sad incident indeed, and I find it slightly ironic that out of all the deadly animals that he has handled and had contact with over the years, the one the actually got him was a relatively harmless stingray.

Another slightly more humorous incident that was making the rounds on the internet last week, was that of a passenger jet in Canada calling in bomb squads etc over an iPod that was accidentally dropped in the plane's toilet.
