π¬ Only 4 blog posts for this year. A clear all-time low.
2021 was a bit nuts. The COVID-19 pandemic continued, and life rolled on. The first third of the year wasn't too bad: there were barely any cases in Queensland, and not many in Australia in general. Life seemed sorta normal in Brisbane.
That didn'tβand was probably never going toβlast.
In the past couple of weeks, after the great vaccination numbers in Queensland, the handbrakes have been taken off in terms of trying to keep the virus at bay. This is probably fine for regular vaccinated people, but for extremely vulnerable people like me, it kinda feels like being thrown in front of the spiky COVID bus and being wished 'good luck'.
As a result, I've been living the hermit life for the past couple of months. I've had multiple COVID tests this year, and had three doses of primary-course vaccine (severely immune-compromised people were recommended to get three does for the primary course). I'm due to get a booster in February. Here's hoping that the vaccines are effective for my hammered immune system. π€
Anywho, here are the 4 (proper) posts I did this year.
