Football & Windows Media Player 11

Day 2 of NaBloPoMo

Windows Media Player 11Stupid me actually got up and watched the Arsenal Champions League game this morning. It was another terribly frustrating game in which Arsenal had so many clear cut chances (including two open goals), but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net. The game ended 0-0, but Arsenal really should have won it by at least 3 goals.

I swear they only play bad when i'm watching, as all the games I haven't watched they've mostly played brilliantly. I can just imagine Arsene Wenger (the Arsenal manager), talking to his players before the game: "alright lads, we've got that chap from Brisbane Australia watching us again tonight. You all know what that means: play terribly." *sigh*

I played futsal tonight. We lost 5-4, crucially conceding a female goal when we were winning 4-3. I scored two, the second a cracker from just before half-way, curling the ball into the top-left corner after connecting with a kick-in. It's felt like ages since i've played, as futsal just came out of a two week break for the holidays, and we currently have two weeks off from indoor because we didn't make the finals.

To geekery, in recent days Microsoft has released the final version of Windows Media Player 11. This is the 3rd big final launch in the past week or two (following on from IE7 and Windows Defender) as they gear up to release Windows Vista in the next few months.

Regarding WMP11, i don't like the whole black look that they have gone for, which is very similar to how the betas of Windows Vista looks. Other than that, there aren't too many changes that really interest me with the new version. I really only use WMP to play videos and loose MP3s, my main music library is in iTunes (which has been really annoying me lately...).
