Designing & Working

I've had a dreary few days since my last blog entry. Wednesday was the Ekka public holiday, and I spent nearly the whole day beginning a design on a new website for the Bribie Island Youth Centre project that the Church is working towards. You can have a special sneak preview here. Despina helped out greatly with the graphics. Hopefully within a few weeks it will be up and running with its own domain.

Other than that, I have just really worked. Thursday and Friday were not too bad work-wise; i think most people were there to see themselves out until the weekend after the mid-week public holiday.

Last night was the 6 month marker after our wedding. To mark the occasion, Des and I went to the movies, and after realising there isn't much on show at the moment, we eventually settled on seeing You, Me, and Dupree. I went in with really low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't great, but it merited a 'good' in my books.

It's quite hard to believe that six months have already passed since the wedding. They've absolutely flown by. Honestly, although our place now feels like 'home' i'm still getting used the whole deal. Things change every week that it's been difficult to nail down a solid routine that I can safely get used to. But I guess that's life.

Today i've been quite busy, ahead of a late night tonight. After Church and the customary dinner, i'm going back to my parent's place to watch the start of the new English Premier League season, but more specifically to watch Arsenal play their first competitive game in their brand-spanking-new stadium. We don't have cable TV at our place, hence going over my parents'.
