The weekend's gone again... *sigh*
Other than the now usual domesticating stuff, the highlight of my weekend would have to be the game of indoor football we played on Sunday.
The highlight was we actually won! w00t!!
People might be surprised at how ecstatic I am. It's mainly because we haven't won one single game since our grand-final loss against Jack's team all the way back in October. I haven't counted how many losses it's been (too depressing), but Wil assures me that it's been 12 straight losses for our team.
I scored a hatrick in the game, which I am quite happy about. Although they weren't the best of sides, we played really well, especially when we were attacking. Although he had a few decent chances, Rolando still couldn't score his first ever goal. hehe
Also it seems that spammers have finally gotten onto this blog, and it's really pissing me off! (please excuse the language). They seem to be entering spam comments into an entry from October 2004 titled 'Jacarandas are blooming' (I don't want to link to it because it'll probably make it worse). Why that entry, I wouldn't have the faintest of ideas: it's a really short entry, with not that many views or comments.
There's been about 3 or 4 of these comments on that entry each day and I've been deleting them as they appear.
All this crap has accelerated my thinking of upgrading the script this blog runs on to something a little more robust, and has at least an image verification code that real people making entries will have to enter (most spam, including comment spammers, are done by automatic robot programs ('bots') which are usually thrown off by this).
But one thing i really want to try and achieve is to keep all my own entries integrated into the new blog, but given the inevitable database format differences, i think it's going to be a long shot.
I'm planning on wiping my laptop this weekend because it's been really sluggish lately, and after two years its probably due for one anyway.
Stay tuned.
Lets track down the spammers, catch them, then put them into a pen and watch them fight to the death while we shoot bullets at their feet and shout, 'Dance, cowboy!':D
How does that sound?
I'm slightly bored.

two identical entries from the same person? SPAMMER!!!
hehe just kidding. Sounds like a great idea to me!
i can't believe you said woot.
i never figured you for a leet speaker (sorry that should be 1337). i hate leet speakers.
disappointing lucas
I wouldn't really class 'w00t' as leet speak. Although i can be viewed as such, w00t is almost universally used by leet and non leet speakers alike.
And I am definitely NOT a leet speaker.

AH, THE IRONY IS KILLING ME!!!
Marge: This is the worst thing you've ever done!
Homer: You say that so often it's lost all meaning.
Hi there... I'm here as I also use the pluggedout blog! I know what you mean about spammers... I had a blog entry about a band called il nino and was deleting around 20 spam posts a day. The new security features in bloggedout has stopped that straight away. However, a recent entry about BlueFrog annoyed one spammer enough to actually sit there and enter the code LOL
