Finally Some Gaming!

Command and Conquer 3 Ion CannonOne of my goals I wanted to accomplish during my week off from work was to get in some good gaming. Unfortunately, today was my first opportunity i've had to actually do it.

This afternoon and tonight I finished the GDI campaign of Command & Conquer 3. Overall, i was quite disappointed in this game, especially after playing Supreme Commander.

I love the cut-scenes and the visuals of C&C3, but unfortunately there seems to have been little advancement in improving the command interface; it still feels like they've done barely anything to improve it beyond the original C&C game.

Anywho, it was enjoyable to actually finish the campaign; for me the highlight of the game is undoubtedly being able to use the Ion Cannon to obliterate enemy bases and such (pictured). Also, have a look at this YouTube video of the Ion Cannon being used in the game.

I don't think i'm going to play through the other campaigns, i can't say that i'm all that interested.

  1. I've never actually played Tiberium Sun. My brother bought it when it came out, but i wasn't all that interested at the time.

I haven't been much of a C&C fan since before Total Annihilation came out. Although the graphics and videos have always been good, the gameplay has always lagged behind.

  2. Not really at the moment, nothing much interests me all that much.

By all accounts i've heard, Red Steel is absolute crapola, but I haven't played it myself.

The only thing that slightly interests me is getting Resident Evil 4 on the Wii.

If you're into it, i'd give Sonic a go.
