Body Corporate & Old People TV

Day 21 of NaBloPoMo

This afternoon I had to leave work a bit early to attend the AGM for the body corporate for our building. As expected, there was a very low turnout: only me and one other person showed, which was enough for a quorum. Got through that and then went over my parents house for dinner.

After a lovely Taco/Burrito dinner (that's twice in two nights for me and Despina), I unfortunately had to sit through watching Dancing With the Stars. It's funny how a show just screams: "This is for all the elderly people out there". You can just imagine all the retirees and people in nursing homes sitting in their chair clutching either a walking stick or a cup of tea commenting: *in old person voice* "oh, isn't that young chap such a fine dancer", and "oh my, that was a delightful performance". Please.

It's highlighted by the fact that both surviving sets of my grandparents actively watch the show, which is quite extraordinary considering one set of them doesn't exactly have a very good grasp of the English language.

I'm mainly pissed off because I had to stop watching South Park because they wanted to watch the insanely annoying show. I hate B-grade celebrity shows, and one that's hosted by Daryl Somers is even worse.

To add a bit of humour, many will be aware of the various 'X' Tycoon games, where X is something the player has to manage. Examples, include Railroad Tycoon, and Rollercoaster Tycoon. This video shows how to do something fun with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. hehe
