Most people say that as soon as you get married, you start packing on some extra kilos. Well it's been true for me: since the wedding in February i've put on about 5 kilos on top of my 'normal' weight of the past few years.

I mostly attribute it to diet (big surprise there, hehe) as well as not getting as much exercise than I have usually been doing over the past few years. Since uni finished, there has been a lot less walking involved (and there was a lot of walking involved around that campus). Although I have still been playing football once a week, consistently sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week sort of negates that.

So me and Des made the decision that we should start trying to do some exercise in the evenings. Last night we went out for our first walk as a married couple. Truthfully, i'm really unfit, but it felt great to walk around in the cool just after dusk (i'm not looking forward to summer though).

After we got home we watched part of the Miss Universe pageant on TV, i couldn't help but thinking I was watching a cage match, a rib-cage match that is! Most of the women were way too skinny.

In football news, the Italian appeals court has restored Fiorentina and Lazio to the Serie A whilst Juventus is still relegated despite having their point deduction for next season reduced from 30 to 17.

Other than that, not too much blog worthy stuff has happened recently (other than the whole Israel/Lebanon situation. Many prayers for that). Till next time.
